Hey man! I saw your video, good luck !!!!! You sound awesome!!!! And thanks for the concern! Two things. I have found the right woman hehe. Karlie :) she is the love of my life and we are not gonna have kids. We plan on travelling the world with our cat as our only kiddo hehe. I’m 41 and jumped on TRT at 39. Yes, I’ve been pushing the dose, but will be doing a regional bodybuilding thing in April. If I don’t get a call out, I’ll likely just go back to TRT. I’ve had a few coaches mention that with more mass I could get a pro card. But we we’ll see. Like you did…..health is a factor but thank you so much and I sincerely appreciate your time and freaking talent ! You rock bro !!!!!!

@@khirschman7 yeah in hindsight I wish I had just stuck a groove for each section for longer ! Comes off a bit frantic, but I felt my first audition before this vid didn’t have enough energy. And so I guess by trying to give it a ton of energy, I forgot to just establish a pocket for each part. Live and learn I guess

@@bdoug5316 haha well of late I’ve def been more obsessed about the gym than most thugs lately ! A lot of the time I’m teaching in the week and that’s all good for training and drumming. But in weekend when I gig, I def can’t do like bigger body parts or deadlifts and the gig, cause I find I tend to play worse ! Ever had that happen to you ?

@issahcontractor I used to work out and play 4 and 5 string electric bass and stand up bass but unfortunately I have nerve damage my whole left arm and right hand and wrist so can't play musical instruments with my hands or workout as far as heavy lifting just stretching and light workouts to keep in shape and heart healthy as much as possible, my job has been beating me up last 25 years 😔 Hope and pray it doesn't happen to you as you're doing well watching your video, keep up the talent 🤟

I felt that too……I wasn’t sure if the improv bit should be just demonstrating creativity and then when I hit the song that I did in the middle, play for the song……but yeah I agree, should have layed down a foundation for a bit longer before starting to solo. Oh well……and love Chambers with P Funk and everything he’s done. I was actually playing a dance gig the two nights before, so I think when I got to studio to do the session, I just wanted to go the other direction. But totally agree….should have stuck it and then started to improv. Live and learn …..thanks for the comment

@@inkagiz yeah maybe should have slammed a bit more too….i was just looking at some NIN vids and thought that damn, I never really did that type of Josh Freese slamming vibe in the audition. I tried in the song that starts at 6 mins, but maybe it doesn’t come off slamming enough. Always hard to tell with cans on too, but thanks for the comment bro

I don’t understand these “hit harder” comments on these auditions. Anyone can hit hard. This man showed that he can play with dynamics and control, which are both infinitely more important.

Oh man I love playing over top of clave. I’m no Heracio El Negro lol but I toured with a cool artist last year which allowed me to play some shows with left foot clave. Thanks so much !!!!!!
